Help! I can only upload one file!

For the Practice, Assignments and Discussions, you will notice that you can only upload one file. That becomes a major problem in the programming and web design courses where most projects consist of many files - and no one wants to have to upload all the files for a project one file at a time.

The easiest solution is to zip the files into one file and upload that. For web design as well as programming classes, that will also preserve the directory structure which can be important to your project operating correctly when your instructor views it.

You may want to create a folder just for your class files. If you have different projects during the class, create a separate folder for each project. This will help you to keep things straight while you are working. I usually create folders on my desktop. It's easier for me to find things that way.

If you are using Windows the easiest way to zip the files is to right click on the directory. Choose Send To > Compressed Folder. This will create a zip file with the same name as the folder.

If you are using a Mac, Control-click on the folder and choose Create Archive.

If you are using X Windows, right-click on the folder and choose Create Archive.

Once the zip file is created you can upload your project all in one file and you are set!
