Microsoft Word: Long Document Tools Online

Learn to create professional-looking research papers and proposals this instructor-led online class.

Learn to add headers and footers, set page layout, create title pages, tables of contents and indices. Create outlines and use the outlines for organizing and managing long documents. Create references for automatically generating tables of illustrations. Create a master document for combining multiple files into one.

In this course students will

  • Choose a page layout, add page numbering and headers and footers to their Word documents.
  • Create templates and styles for their long documents. Students will define their document as an outline in outline view.
  • Create a table of contents and an index in their long documents. Students will create footnotes and book marks.
  • Combine several documents into a master document.

Prerequisites

Students should be comfortable using Word.

Requirements

A copy of Word is required. A trial version is available.
